Drug Courts

The Eastern District of North Carolina (EDNC) has two drug courts – HOPE (Helping Offenders Pursue Excellence) and STAR (Striving to Achieve Recovery). These voluntary programs offer drug treatment and other resources for federal defendants with substance abuse issues. With intensive treatment and other rehabilitative services, including use of incentives and sanctions, EDNC drug courts promote sobriety and target long term, sustainable change. Each program incorporates the National Association of Drug Court Professionals’ ten key components for successful reentry court programs.

The HOPE Program is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is designed for offenders who are post-conviction. For a more detailed description of the HOPE Program, under our Drug Court tab, select “HOPE Court – Raleigh, NC.”
